Jackie Huba from Church of the Cutomer (again :) ) made me aware of Current TV :
"Current is encouraging its viewers to become citizen marketers by creating and uploading V-Cams, or viewer-created ad messages. Toyota, L'Oreal and Sony have signed up to have their commercials created by viewers. Then, web site visitors vote on, or "greenlight" commercials they like. Naturally, they are encouraged to comment on them as well. Viewers whose commercials make it to the air pocket $1,000 and a sweet resume builder. If the advertiser likes the results and wants to air it in other media, the erstwhile citizen marketer could earn $5,000 to $50,000. Now that's engagement. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!"
Brillant indeed! I specifically like the L'Oréal Paris contest: "Who's worth it in your life" :
"Who’s worth it in your life? L’Oreal Paris and Current TV invite you to make a V-CAM that celebrates a special woman in your life. Show us that local hero who is beautiful because her heart and mind are always growing and whose achievements make her a knockout. Tell us who she is, what she does, and what she means to you in a video testimonial.

What a great way to create Engagement indeed, who said that brands should be scared of WOM and Consumer Generated Media? Maybe Max and I can give it a try? :)
